Abena Suturtape 6 mm x 3.8 cm, brown, reinforced, sheet of 6 strips, latex-free, sterile, single-use
Price unit = 1 pack of 70 sheets.
Description/use:
Flexible suturtape that can be used to approximate wound edges as an alternative to suturing or gluing. It can also be used to stabilize wounds in combination with sutures, and after suture removal, as the tape helps promote healing by keeping the wound edges together.
Application:
Dry the skin around the wound and begin by gently applying the suturtape in the middle of the wound, pressing the ends lightly into place with your fingers. Then continue applying the remaining tape, gently pressing from the center outward to each side.
Removal:
Loosen one end of the tape. While pressing on the middle with the other hand, carefully and slowly remove the tape. It is recommended that the tape be removed in the direction of hair growth to avoid pain and discomfort for the patient. Do not use suturtape for more than seven days. If infection occurs around the suturtape, the tape must be removed immediately and the wound area treated according to applicable clinical guidelines.
