Price unit = 1 pack of 10 pieces
Description/use:
For the healing of wounds such as abrasions, leg ulcers, pressure sores, burns, radiation injuries, abscesses, skin grafts, and in nail extractions.
The ointment is non-sensitizing and does not contain vaseline, lanolin, or paraffin.
During dressing changes, there's a risk of reopening the wound surface, causing pain, leading to patient reluctance for dressing changes. To prevent this, Atrauman salve dressing is used. It can be combined with various types of dressings to avoid adhesion to the wound. Atrauman contains triglycerides that protect the wound from drying out and prevent scab formation. Its fine mesh structure allows fluids to pass through from the wound to the secondary dressing.
As Atrauman does not adhere to the skin, fixing the dressing, for instance, under the leg, can be challenging. The easiest method is to place the salve dressing on the secondary dressing first, then apply both to the wound. If a secondary dressing isn't needed, the salve dressing can be fixed with a gauze bandage.
Properties: The thin, soft mesh of hydrophobic polyester fibers has a smooth outer structure preventing new tissue from growing into the dressing, minimizing adhesion to the wound. It leaves no residual ointment in the wound, making cleaning and assessment easier. Atrauman keeps the wound surface and edges supple and protects it from drying out. The ointment allows both air and secretions to pass, aiding in removing excess fluids from the wound. To absorb extra secretions, use an absorbent dressing in combination with Atrauman. Being neutral without active drugs, the dressing is also suitable for dermatological use and for patients sensitive to medications or with sensitive skin. Therapeutic salves can be added post-doctor's recommendation. Atrauman should be changed at each dressing change, unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor.
Material: Hydrophobic polyester mesh impregnated with a neutral ointment.
The ointment contains: Fatty acids (triglycerides) and coconut oil (Caprylic/Capric/Stearic Triglyceride; Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2 (analog INCI)).
The product is classified as a medical device, Class IIb, sterile.
The ointment is non-sensitizing and does not contain vaseline, lanolin, or paraffin.
