Revamil Medicinal Honey Ointment

Price unit = 1 piece of 15 g.

Description/Usage:

Pure medical honey for wound treatment" means that it is a specific type of honey that, due to its high content of antimicrobial substances, can be used in wound treatment. Regular edible honey can also contain enzymes and other active substances, but in such small concentrations that they will not have an effect on harmful bacteria. Medical honey is an effective remedy for treating infected wounds or wounds at risk of infection.

Revamil Balm is a skin-protective, neutral ointment combined with pure medical honey. Due to the high content of honey, the ointment has good wound-healing and antibacterial properties.

Revamil Balm is sterile and CE registered, thus meeting all safety requirements that are crucial for professional wound care.

Revamil Balm can be used both in professional wound care and as first aid at home.

Revamil Balm is skin-friendly and is particularly suitable for treating acute wounds, infected wounds in all wound phases, chronic wounds, minor superficial wounds such as abrasions, cuts, superficial burns, and for itching and irritation of the skin.

Revamil Balm is easily applied to the wound. Revamil Balm can also be applied to an absorbent dressing that will be used to cover the wound. Revamil Balm does not stick to the wound and neutralizes wound odor.

What is the medicinal effect of honey on wounds?

Case studies and clinical studies have shown, that the antibacterial effect is Revamil honey's most important role in the wound healing process. The antibacterial effect is primarily due to the honey's high enzyme content. In a moist wound environment, the enzyme glucose oxidase ensures a slow and prolonged release of small amounts of hydrogen peroxide. This effectively kills the bacteria without attacking the granulation tissue.

100% pure honey:

The honey in our Revamil products is 100% pure. The honey is collected from bees in an agricultural-free environment. No pesticides are used in beekeeping and in the nearby farms.

In the past, Revamil honey was produced in greenhouses. However, it was learned that this environment is not ideal for the bees as they need more space to fly. A search was therefore made for regions in the Netherlands where the bees can fly freely and where pesticides are not used - not even in the nearby farms - and where there are sufficient nectar sources.

Control of Revamil honey:

Each batch of Revamil honey is checked for residues of heavy metals and pesticides to ensure that the precautions taken are effective.
