OmniOmega Lecithin is your natural source of phospholipids and choline, as the product contains phospholipids along with omega-6 and -9. Phospholipids are the building blocks of cell membranes and are therefore crucial to cellular function in all tissues and organs of the body.
There are five primary phospholipids:
Phosphatidylcholine (PC) is an important phospholipid for the liver, primarily due to its content of the essential nutrient choline. Choline helps maintain normal liver function and supports the normal metabolism of fats and the amino acid homocysteine. Phosphatidylinositol (PI) contains the nutrient inositol. The other phospholipids are phosphatidylethanolamine (PE), phosphatidylserine (PS), and phosphatidic acid (PA).
OmniOmega Lecithin also contains other nutrients such as linoleic acid, oleic acid, and phosphorus. Linoleic acid (omega-6) helps maintain normal blood cholesterol levels, provided that the daily intake of linoleic acid is 10 g. The product contributes 4.725 g in this context when consuming 3 teaspoons.
The product naturally contains the mineral phosphorus, which supports normal cell membrane function and contributes to normal energy metabolism. Additionally, phosphorus helps maintain normal bones and teeth.
The product is vegan, taste- and odor-neutral, and suitable as a cooking supplement. OmniOmega Lecithin is made from sunflower oil, which may be beneficial for individuals who are sensitive to, for example, soy.
Daily dose for adults and children over 11 years: 2–3 teaspoons (approx. 7–10.5 g).
Can be taken dry or with water. May be sprinkled on muesli, yogurt, or mixed into smoothies.
